🔥i live alone's "impromptu" kazakhstan trip was in a permit request two weeks early

Remember Jun Hyun Moo's spontaneous trip to Almaty on I Live Alone. The bit where he decides at the airport, says he's been to China too many times so maybe Kazakhstan, and calls Ku Sung Hwan and Lee Joo Seung for advice. Turns out MBC sent Incheon Airport a filming permit request on July 22. Ticketing at the Air Astana counter on August 6, the flights, the China line and the phone calls, all written down two weeks before he "decided". Korean viewers say the episode played out almost exactly like the document. MBC says it was a 구성안 (a rough plan of the shoot), written so the airport people understand what they're approving, and never shared with Jun Hyun Moo. Then the man is a shaman, which is more or less what one Korean comment said. A planned trip isn't the crime. Nobody thinks a camera crew just teleports to Kazakhstan. Selling it as 즉흥 (impromptu) and defending that a few times before the paperwork came out is the part that annoys me.

Table read with luggage is the best summary yet. Next season they print the script on the boarding pass.

lmao shaman or script supervisor, same energy

the china line being IN the document 😭 he didn't even get to improvise his own excuse

7velvetcrow2026.10.18

is jun hyun moo a shaman is going to live in my head for a week

A permit request passes through production and the airport liaison before it reaches anyone on camera. So 'he never saw it' can be true and still tell us nothing about the show.

To be fair, airports don't let crews film on a whim, so a permit filed weeks ahead is normal for any travel variety. The problem is only the 'impromptu' label.

Exactly. The permit is normal. Writing his lines into it is the plot twist.

7nightbus_92026.10.17

don't care that it's planned. care that they kept insisting it wasn't

idk it's a variety show, i always assumed half of it is planned. still watching lol

So the 'decision at the airport' was basically a table read with luggage.

So the 'impromptu' part was just the airport paperwork being very organised. Weirdly the most believable part of the show.

7Soomin2026.10.18

'Never shared with Jun Hyun Moo' is carrying the whole defence. Fine, but then who wrote his China line, a very good guesser?

A planned trip is fine. Telling us it was spur of the moment while the China line was already on paper is the part I'd skip. Still watching for the food though.

A very good guesser is the only reading where MBC is telling the truth, and somehow that's funnier.

7hanriver.walk2026.10.18

Calling Ku Sung Hwan for advice on a trip that was already ticketed is a nice touch. Hope he got paid for the acting.

↳
7Haneul2026.10.18

Calling an advice phone call 'acting' is a stretch. They probably did call. Whether he knew the destination is the question.

7Matcha_Mango2026.10.18

The ticketing at the Air Astana counter being in the paper too is what gets me. Even the receipt was in on it.

6Oatmilk_Otto2026.10.18

Fine, it's planned. I'm just annoyed I believed the China line for two whole seconds.

7Nari2026.10.18

Two whole seconds is generous. I believed it through the first ad break.

'we were just vibing at the airport' and the airport had a folder. the folder is the main character now
