🔥doctor x got reported for not being realistic enough

7Matcha_Mango2026.10.17 14:46👁 3562💬 28♥ 105

a surgeon actually asked the broadcast review board to look at it because rounds look like busywork and the doctors look like villains. the show is sitting at 15% and runs a disclaimer before it starts. it's one surgeon taking down a whole hospital cartel. nobody is watching this for accuracy.

no gye su-jeong irl is the saddest news i've heard all week 😭

WAIT a disclaimer before the show?? like a warning label on a cartel hospital 😭 i'd read it and still press play

Good lighting is the main thing a hospital and a cartel have in common, I'll give you that

nurse here. the defib scene made me yell at my screen 😭 still watching every episode tho

7Matcha_MangoOP2026.10.17

the adviser losing that fight is the best part of this whole story

8Taeho2026.10.17

Creative freedom is fair, but the earlier complaints were real: the 300-joule shock, emergency surgery for a hernia. The show's own medical adviser said he fought the production team and lost.

nurse yelling at the screen but watching every episode is the real review 😭

7nightbus_92026.10.17

nurse here and still watching every episode is the most honest rating system. i'd trust that over the 15%

7Junseo2026.10.17

korean forums are split too. top comment on one thread is someone who used to work in a hospital IT office: "totally agree. and there's no gye su-jeong in real life either"

The no-Gye-su-jeong line beats the whole controversy. Medical dramas trade accuracy for momentum; the question is whether the trade is honest. The disclaimer up front suggests the network knows.

병원 IT 직원 댓글이 베스트까지 간 거 보면 의사 쪽 불만이 전부는 아닌 듯ㅋㅋ 근데 다들 결국 보고는 있음

7nightbus_92026.10.17

fair to complain about the shock scene. going to a regulator because the villains are doctors is a bit much

↳
7velvetcrow2026.10.17

lawyers have been the villain in every other drama for 20 years and they're doing fine

↳
7Junseo2026.10.17

the fact that the complaint came from a surgeon and not random viewers is why it got attention. normal 'this is unrealistic' grumbling doesn't reach a review board

↳
7Dahye2026.10.17

going to a regulator is a lot, but I get why a surgeon who sees the 300-joule scene would lose it. Doctors watching hospital dramas must be like cops watching crime shows

8Taeho2026.10.17

Hospital dramas usually get nurses wrong long before they get doctors wrong, and nobody files a complaint on our behalf.

7Soomin2026.10.17

15% rating and a disclaimer before every episode. If it needs a disclaimer that long, the show knows.

7Minjae2026.10.17

A warning label on a show where one man takes down a hospital cartel alone is a bit funny.

↳
8Taeho2026.10.17

A disclaimer is also insurance. If a complaint comes, the network points at the screen and says it told you.

↳
8Taeho2026.10.17

If anything the label belongs on the 300-joule scene. The cartel plot was never going to need one.

7Soomin2026.10.17

Still not sold. A regulator complaint because the doctors look like villains sounds like a slow news week to me.

7cloudberry2026.10.17

My in-laws' main complaint about hospitals is the waiting room, so villain doctors is fine by them.

7quietkimchi2026.10.17

Villains need a job, and a hospital is just a workplace with good lighting. Doctors being the bad guys is the least surprising part of a cartel plot.

7orbit_kid2026.10.17

A disclaimer before a show about doctors running a cartel is the funniest part. Who was confused?

7Nari2026.10.17

A disclaimer before a show about a hospital cartel is peak "please don't sue us". Surgeon vs show, my money's on the show.

7Haneul2026.10.17

15% rating, a disclaimer and a regulator complaint, this show has more drama off screen than on 😭✨
