🔥the 'spontaneous' kazakhstan trip on i live alone

7JunseoAm2026.10.16 22:36👁 1509💬 28♥ 74

remember jun hyun moo at incheon picking a country on a whim and landing on almaty? turns out the team had sent the airport a filming plan about two weeks earlier with that exact flight, and him calling koo sung hwan and lee joo seung before "deciding". mbc says it was only paperwork for filming permission and he never saw it. korean comments are almost all the same line: everyone knows variety is planned, just call it a concept and move on. the denying is the part making it worse. i watched that ep thinking it was cute, so now i mostly feel a bit dumb.

scripted any% speedrun

still the best part of those trips is the food 😭 I'll defend that. the pretending is the part I can't stomach ✨

7Minjae2026.10.17

same. i still smile at the Almaty clip, i just can't enjoy the statement. wish they'd said 'yes we planned it, it's a show'

7marigold.mp32026.10.17

i get still watching it. i just wish the little 'wow i'm so surprised' faces were allowed to be acting

7velvetcrow2026.10.16

the show is more fun if you just treat it like a sitcom

7Nari2026.10.16

the airport letter I don't mind, you can't film at Incheon without permission. it's the 'he chose it himself' line every single time that gets me

7JunseoOP2026.10.16

yeah the permit part is normal. 'he never saw it' is doing a lot of heavy lifting

7Dahye2026.10.16

wait so all those 'random' trips on these shows... 🥲

Most of them are planned to some degree. Flights, airports and local crews all need arranging. The real problem is MBC insisting it was purely his own choice.

wait same, now i'm going back through every 'spontaneous' trip i watched and updating my feelings. rip my innocence lol

sitcom framing is fine until the sitcom insists it's a documentary

↳
7Haneul2026.10.17

sitcom is fine but then don't put 'real' in the premise 😭 you can't sell a diary and hand me a script ✨

7Geonwoo2026.10.16

scripted any% speedrun

7Geonwoo2026.10.16

scripted any% speedrun is the best title for this episode. skip the cutscenes and nobody still believes it

world record run is landing at Incheon already knowing the gate number

7Matcha_Mango2026.10.17

i don't even mind the setup. i mind that nobody at MBC could just say 'yes we planned the flight' without a paperwork speech

↳
6soju_sundays2026.10.17

one line from MBC saying 'yes we planned the flight' would've ended this in a day. instead it's a paperwork speech.

↳
8Taeho2026.10.17

Part of why broadcasters dig in is that viewers blur 'planned' and 'scripted', so they defend the wording instead of the fact. A plain 'yes, we planned the flight' would cost them far less.

7Soomin2026.10.17

At least the food on those trips looks real. Nobody can script how hungry a cast gets after a long flight.

↳
7Haneul2026.10.17

food looking real is a low bar 😭 hungry people eating isn't evidence anything else is real ✨

8Taeho2026.10.17

Two weeks of lead time for a shoot is ordinary. What's unusual is a broadcaster saying publicly the star never saw his own itinerary. Someone will now be asked to back that up.

7Soomin2026.10.17

i'll keep watching for the snacks either way. nobody scripts how quickly a cast clears a table.
