🔥The Remarried Empress posters, Korean reaction: Ju Ji Hoon wins, the costumes don't

7GeonwooAm2026.10.15 20:49👁 2092💬 19♥ 59

Three duo posters for The Remarried Empress are out (Disney+, starts November 4) and the Korean comments mostly landed on one thing: Ju Ji Hoon. "Sovieshu's casting is perfect." "Why does he always stand out whenever something is released?"

I get it. Sovieshu is the emperor who tells his wife she'll be his only wife and then falls for someone else, so you need a guy who looks regal and a little untrustworthy at the same time. He already ran that build as the crown prince in Kingdom. Proven loadout, no reroll needed. Lee Jong Suk as Heinrey is the one I'm less sure about, but next to Shin Min Ah it works on the poster. People over there are already calling the two of them heart fluttering. The outfits though. A few comments said the costumes look excessive and the posters look heavily edited, and I'm with them. The third poster has so many patterns it looks like a texture that failed to load. Pretty posters. I just hope the actual show calms down on the wallpaper.

the coat stand would still get a fan edit by Friday.

poster three looks like a wedding cake fell on the cast

a bit too much is fine. poster three is a lot too much

7quietkimchi2026.10.15

blind. you can read the novel later when you're angry at the ending

7cloudberry2026.10.16

Ju Ji Hoon gets all the credit but somebody has to carry those sleeves for the whole run. Respect to the sleeves.

Sovieshu is the hardest role of the four. He has to be awful to his wife and still watchable for 12+ episodes. Ju Ji Hoon is a safe pair of hands for that.

wait it's based on a web novel? is it worth reading first or should I go in blind

7nightbus_92026.10.15

lee se young in pink ringlets is exactly how i pictured rashta. no notes

Pink ringlets is the Rashta look. Nobody was ever going to be subtle about that character and the poster doesn't start now.

Disagree on the costumes. It's a fantasy empire. If it isn't a bit too much it ends up looking like cosplay at a hotel wedding.

A bit too much is the whole fantasy-empire brief, but wedding cake is a hard image to unsee now.

7quietkimchi2026.10.15

three duo posters and the one thing everyone agrees on is the casting. the costumes are a separate trial

7quietkimchi2026.10.16

Ju Ji Hoon being the consensus pick is no surprise. He could play a coat stand and people would nod.

Disney+ November 4 and the poster artist has already used up the whole wallpaper budget. someone please save the actual set from the sleeves

↳
7Soomin2026.10.16

the sleeves deserve a supporting actor credit and a lunch break.

7Junseo2026.10.16

posters are always the best-lit version of the sleeves. the costume talk gets louder once episode one is out, watch.

↳
8Taeho2026.10.16

Posters are the best-lit version of any costume. I'd wait for episode one before deciding the sleeves are a crime.

NOVEMBER 4 IS ALREADY IN MY PHONE and I know nothing about the story. the posters did that, the sleeves did that
