🔥Everland capybara triplets meet the public, and their parents are literally named Plump and Chunky

Everland just announced capybara triplets 🥹 They were born on September 28, each about 1kg, and they're two weeks into life looking like tiny loaves of bread with ears.

Now the part I can't get over. The parents are a same-age couple born in 2024, the dad is 도톰 (Dotom) and the mom is 두툼 (Dutum). Both words basically mean "plump" or "nicely thick", like how you'd describe a good pancake or a cozy blanket. So two chubby-named capybaras had three tiny babies, and now Everland is running a naming contest for them. The bar has been set and it is round.

Korean news is calling capybaras "친화력 갑" (top-tier at getting along with anyone) and "동물계 핵인싸", which is like the absolute social butterfly of the animal world, because of all those videos of them chilling with ducks, turtles and monkeys. Everland's capybaras were already famous for soaking in warm water like they're at a spa, so these babies were born into celebrity. They're on view from October 15 at Ppuppa Town, the baby animal zone, together with mom and dad, and the park says it'll adjust viewing times depending on how the little ones are doing. My next Seoul trip was going to be all cafes in Seongsu, but apparently it's a Yongin day now. If the contest lets foreigners vote, I'm pushing for Hotteok, Bingsu and Mochi and I will not be taking feedback.
