🔥A Love Other Than Yours hit a new low and the comments aren't surprised

8TaehoAm2026.10.13 02:57👁 1194💬 17♥ 50

Episode 8 of the KBS2 weekend drama aired on the 11th and came in at 1.9% nationwide, the lowest it has done. On paper it should work: Seo Kang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin, a ten-year relationship, she gets hurt, he takes care of her rehab. Watching that stretch I felt nothing, and I wanted to. The scenes are pretty and slow and nobody seems in a hurry to want anything. The top Korean comments go after the pairing, saying the two never looked matched even back at the production presser. I don't fully agree. Both of them have been great in other things. My problem is the writing keeps them apart for no reason I believe, and you can't fix that with chemistry. KBS weekend slots usually get forgiven a lot by older viewers, so dropping this far there says something.

amnesia would honestly wake me up. I'd take a long-lost twin at this point

the writing point is fair but the pairing complaint was there from day one. both things can be true

fell asleep before the bus did is a better review than anything the critics wrote

writing that keeps two leads apart for no reason is the worst kind. at least give me a dumb misunderstanding or amnesia, something with a pulse

Add a car crash and a secret birth and the ratings fix themselves. KBS weekend patch notes.

Watched ep 1 on the bus and fell asleep before the bus did. Didn't go back.

Agreed, though I'd rather blame the script than the actors' faces.

1.9 on a kbs weekend slot is rough. those are supposed to be the safe slots

Pretty and slow is fine for a film. For a weekend slot, apparently people want somebody to want something.

Slow is fine by me. Episode 8 and still nobody wants anything is a different problem though.

the OST is the only thing keeping me there honestly

OST carrying a 1.9% show is a whole genre. which track though, asking for my commute playlist

ten year relationship and eight episodes of nobody in a hurry. very realistic, which is the problem
