🔥Paradise Lost trailer, my bet is on the son

7MinjaeAm2026.10.12 13:20👁 2589💬 20♥ 69

Yeon Sang-ho's new film: a mom who's spent nine years talking to an AI version of her missing kid, and then the real son walks back in as the only survivor of a camping school bus disappearance. Bae Hyun-sung said he played him with cold eyes and slow movements, so I'm betting whoever came home isn't the boy she lost.

What I want to know is whether she switches the AI off once the real one is home. That's the actual horror.

Cold eyes and slow movements is also just how every drama teenager gets directed when the script needs him suspicious. The bet feels a bit easy.

kim hyun joo in a yeon sang ho thriller again yes PLEASE

the trailer title says it already played toronto, so somewhere out there people know if your bet is right

is this going to be on Netflix or cinema only? asking before I get invested in the AI kid

Yeon said it started from a novel his own mother wrote. She brought him three, he bought one. Best behind-the-scenes fact I've heard all month.

Not reading a single review until I see it. The bet stands.

Festival screenings are a different audience too. Reviews out of Toronto will say more about the film's ambition than about whether the son is who he claims to be.

the AI kid version is so creepy 😭 why would you do that to yourself

Nine years of talking to an AI version of her kid is the scariest part for me. The cold-eyed son is almost secondary.

honestly the creepy part is how gentle it probably sounds. nine years of goodnight messages

My bet is the AI kid has been fine this whole time. Nine years of consistent customer service.

Nine years of 'I'm sorry you feel that way' on a loop. Still better than my bank's chatbot.

Any kid who comes home from the woods smiling in a trailer is not fine. Easy bet, I'm still taking it.

korean trailers love hiding the real twist behind the obvious one, so cold eyes might be the decoy. could be totally wrong lol

7Geonwoo2026.10.12

Trailer sells the cold-eyed son so hard I'd bet the opposite. Son's fine, it's the AI that's been plotting for nine years.

7marigold.mp32026.10.12

nine years of the AI saying goodnight, then a stranger with cold eyes walks in. honestly I'd side with the AI kid

she won't. she'll keep both and the house gets very quiet around 3am

7Soomin2026.10.12

Cold eyes and slow movements could also just be a kid who went through something awful. The bet reads him as the villain a bit fast.
