🔥Summer Vacation teaser: my bet is a time loop

8TaehoAm2026.10.11 12:13👁 1981💬 22♥ 58

Wavve has put out a new teaser for 여름방학 (Summer Vacation), which streams from 26 October.

Cho Yi Hyun plays Kim Ha Yeon, an ordinary high school student who goes with her father on a business trip to a village called Upo and has some kind of mysterious experience there before returning to reality. B1A4's Jin Young plays Jo Yu Gyeom, a boy her age who feels trapped by the strict rules of his traditional family. Hong Ye Ji completes the triangle. This teaser is literally titled 'I'll save Jo Yu Gyeom', and together with 'mysterious experience' that makes me fairly confident we are getting a loop or a slip in time, where she lives the same summer again to stop something from happening to him. Korean dramas return to the 첫사랑 (first love) you could not save again and again, and a quiet village in midsummer is exactly where they like to put it. My bet is that the reality she returns to is one where he is no longer there, and the final episode is about whether that summer happened at all.

the title 'i'll save jo yu gyeom' is already spoiling half the plot. korean dramas really said loop first, details later lol

a teaser titled 'i'll save jo yu gyeom' is basically a content warning lol

7Geonwoo2026.10.11

Saved boy gets a fresh problem by next episode. It's basically a subscription model.

if he dies i'm not watching 😭 (i will be watching)

7Haneul2026.10.12

fine, loop. but if there's a rewinding pocket watch I'm out 😭 (I'm not out)

jin young in a school uniform in 2026 is a flex honestly

the B1A4 fans who stuck around are about to eat so well. i'm not even one and i'm emotional

I am afraid the teaser title has already told us how worried we should be.

Same. I tell myself I'll skip it, then I'm on the couch on release day with snacks.

rural summer dramas always make me want to book a countryside trip asap

Midsummer village looks lovely until the cicadas start. Every countryside trip I've done here, they had the lead role.

'loop first, details later' is the genre in one line lol. 여름방학 is a very gentle title for a show that will obviously end with someone crying in a field

7Soomin2026.10.11

Every time a drama says 'mysterious experience' it means she cries at least three times in a field. I'll wait for reviews before I commit.

7Geonwoo2026.10.11

Three cries in a field is the genre's loading screen.

7Nari2026.10.11

Does Wavve put English subs on everything or only the big titles? Asking because I'm not catching village dialect on my own.

↳
7Junseo2026.10.12

Can't speak for Wavve's whole catalog, but village dialect is where even Korean viewers reach for the subtitles. Half the charm, half the headache.

7Nari2026.10.11

Gentle title, 'I'll save him' teaser. If she fixes it by episode 3 I'm annoyed, because then what's the other twelve for.

↳
7Minjae2026.10.11

If she saves him in episode 3 I'll assume he's fine for exactly one episode. Dramas never let a boy stay saved.

↳
7Haneul2026.10.11

ep 3 she saves him, ep 4 the saving makes it worse 😭 that's the loop tax 🥹

7Haneul2026.10.12

fine, loop. but if there's a rewinding pocket watch I'm out 😭 (I'm not out)

Pocket watches are for Western loops. Korean ones get a mysterious village and a father who knows more than he says.
