๐Ÿ”ฅkim you-jung going through a stolen wallet is the most kim you-jung scene possible

7JunseoAm2026.10.11 11:07๐Ÿ‘ 1586๐Ÿ’ฌ 13โ™ฅ 57

100 days of deception started on tvn this weekend. kim you-jung plays the best pickpocket in gyeongseong (old seoul) who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement and gets inside the japanese government-general. park jinyoung from got7 is the interpreter she ends up tangled with, the adopted son of one of the top colonial officials.

the scene they used for the preview is just her calmly going through his stolen wallet, and it sold me more than any poster did. she has that look where you can't tell if she's about to cry or rob you, which is exactly the character. episode 1 did 5.3% nationwide, the best premiere for a tvn weekend drama this year. the director made extraordinary attorney woo and dr. romantic, so i'm in for at least the first month.

pickpocket AND spy AND a very handsome interpreter... that's three plots and a wallet ๐Ÿ˜ญ hoping it picks one by ep 4

GOT7 Jinyoung has quietly built a really solid acting career.

Three plots and a wallet is a fine pitch. The fourth plot shows up around episode six, it always does.

5.3 on cable for a first ep is solid. Doctor X is eating the whole Saturday though

Same. I've been burned by period dramas where the first hour is gorgeous and then the plot takes a nap in a tea house.

Dramas set in the occupation era carry a lot of weight in Korea. A pickpocket heroine is a smart way in, the show can be fun without making the history feel light.

PARK JINYOUNG AS AN INTERPRETER WITH A JAPANESE ALIAS the duality

Interpreter, adopted son of a colonial official, tangled up with a pickpocket spy. HR would have questions.

doctor x is a different sport tbh ๐Ÿ˜ญ 5.3 on cable for a period spy show is a solid start, I'm in for the wallet scene alone ๐Ÿฟ

5.3% is a strong start, but the second and third episodes are the real test. Premiere curiosity fades quickly, and a period espionage drama needs its plot moving by then.

Going through a stolen wallet as the preview scene is a fun choice. Hard to tell whether to trust her, which sounds like the point of the character.
