🔥Bong Joon-ho's next film stars a piglet squid

8TaehoAm2026.10.10 20:04👁 1540💬 23♥ 51

An animated film for 2027. Deep-sea fish curious about the human world, and a baby piglet squid called Ally who wants to see the sun and dreams of being on TV, until a mystery aircraft crashes into their quiet life. The second picture is the real animal. Ayo Edebiri, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista and Finn Wolfhard are voicing. A director who spent his career on class and cramped homes now going to the bottom of the ocean is the most Bong thing I can imagine. I am going opening day.

Nature already made the mascot, Bong just ran the casting call. Squid looks like she knows something about us.

Stairs underwater is a good one. Next film someone lives in a coral crawlspace and I'll buy the ticket anyway.

Kids movie and Bong movie aren't exclusive though. The Host had a family in it too and that went fine.

7Junseo2026.10.11

Okja had a pig-ish animal with a message and big Hollywood names too. he just likes putting a heart into animals that get pushed around lol

7Geonwoo2026.10.10

Plane crashes into a peaceful squid town. Yeah this is still a Bong movie

7Haneul2026.10.10

if there's a plush I'm broke by christmas 😭 the squid wants to be on TV and a plane lands on her house, relatable

7Junseo2026.10.10

the korean post says she kind of looks like bong joon ho himself and now i can't unsee it

There is something in the eyes, yes.

'peaceful squid town' im crying, even the squids can't have a quiet life 😭

7Dahye2026.10.10

Finn Wolfhard and Ayo in the same cast is a lot of talent for one tiny squid

7Junseo2026.10.10

ok I'll be the annoying one. I'll wait for the trailer before calling it a Bong movie and not a nice kids movie lol

A man who made a whole movie about a basement is now going to the bottom of the ocean. Same direction, just wetter.

basement to the seabed. he just keeps going lower with every film lol

7Geonwoo2026.10.10

A squid who dreams of the sun, rich fish upstairs. Bong is smuggling stairs into the ocean, I respect it.

Stairs underwater is a good one. Next film someone lives in a coral crawlspace and I'll buy the ticket anyway.

I'll be the grown adult in row three with no kid. If anyone asks I'm a teacher doing research.

↳

Row three, grown adults without kids club. I'll bring snacks, we just need a small cousin as cover.

7Geonwoo2026.10.11

Bradley Cooper voicing a fish is the part I need explained. Which fish, what does he want.

↳
8Dabin2026.10.11

bradley cooper as a very tired deep sea fish with a mortgage. no proof but i'm sure

7Junseo2026.10.11

Okja had a pig-ish animal with a message and big Hollywood names too. he just likes putting a heart into animals that get pushed around lol

7Minjae2026.10.11

Okja is a good point, though I left that one needing a minute. Animated doesn't mean softer, so I'd bring tissues and maybe not a six year old.

7Junseo2026.10.11

so the squid wants to be on tv and then a plane lands on her house. bong really said the cameras show up whether you want them or not lol

7Geonwoo2026.10.11

the real animal does look like it knows something. nature's own bong casting lol
