carrot cake and a pun I didn't see coming
I had one of those long afternoons where nothing is wrong but nothing is good either, and I ended up scrolling through a thread of carrot cake photos instead of working. Tall ones, crumbly ones, a slice with a tiny marzipan carrot on top.

Korean commenters had fun with it, because ๋น๊ทผ (danggeun) is carrot, but it's also the name of the most popular secondhand app in Korea, where people meet up to trade. So the first replies were "me, carrot is the best" and "I clicked thinking someone was going to ask 'are you Danggeun?'", which is what you say when you meet a stranger to buy their used rice cooker. Someone else pointed out it has more going on than people think, cream cheese, cinnamon, the nuts. I agree. It's the cake that always looks a bit plain in the case and then wins. I didn't fix my afternoon, but I did buy a slice on the way home, and it was the tall kind.
