🔥a monk is being called the G-Dragon of Buddhism

Ven. Deoksan, abbot of a small temple on Soyo Mountain in Dongducheon, has gone viral for dancing. He first got noticed dancing to GD & Taeyang's Good Boy at a Buddhist Expo in April, then Billie Jean at the Lotus Lantern Festival in May.

He says dancing is part of his practice and a way to share the teachings. He learned partly by making a four-hour round trip from the temple to a dance academy, and he became a monk at 40, after graduating from the Korean National Police University. Next on his list: rap.
