🔥Ahn Hyo Seop as a chef is the right call

5kimbap_kidAm2026.10.09 22:39👁 1391💬 15♥ 52

JTBC's Final Table casts Ahn Hyo Seop as Kang Han, a chef with a secret past who ends up running a restaurant that's about to close, then enters a big K-chef competition.

He has that calm, slightly cold face that works for a chef who doesn't explain himself, and after Culinary Class Wars I'm fully ready for another cooking show that's secretly about pride. It starts Oct 24. I will be watching it hungry.

I teach at 8:40, so watching this at 10:40pm and thinking about food through the whole cafeteria lunch is my October

the lower league club thing is accurate and I will still cry when the restaurant gets its first full table

slow-mo plating, one dramatic sauce drip, and someone else's hands for the knife work. I'd bet on it and I don't gamble

6ramyunatmidnight2026.10.09

a cooking drama at 10:40pm is a crime against everyone on a diet

chef with a secret past is the 'former captain buying a lower league club' of K-dramas. I've seen the movie and I'm still going to watch it

the teaser opens with a burning house and a crying kid. this is not a cozy food show

good. I like my food drama with a side of trauma

6Jiyul2026.10.10

burning house in the teaser means a slow piano ballad by episode 3. I'm already tired and I'm already in

5Aurelien2026.10.09

I'll believe he can cook when I see a knife close-up without a hand double

hand double or not, the face is carrying me 😭🔪

hand doubles are tradition. we survived every fake surgery in every hospital drama, we'll survive fake dicing

secret past, failing restaurant, big competition. I just need one scene where someone tastes a dish and goes silent for ten seconds. that's the genre

5curiosa_br2026.10.10

does he actually cook on screen or is it all slow-mo plating?

congrats!! to whoever asked. I need a real knife scene too

3Marta2026.10.10

Culinary Class Wars worked because the chefs were real chefs. an actor holding a knife for the whole run is a different bet. I'll still watch, hungry and judgmental
