🔥Oktoberfest on the roof of a seafood market in Seoul

Garak Market is doing an Oktoberfest. On a rooftop. With seafood. It's the third one, Oct 16 to 18 at the Sky Park on the third floor of Garak Mall in southeastern Seoul. Independent craft beers next to seafood, grilled meats and street food that comes from the market itself, plus a neighborhood parade, live music, lawn games and a play area for kids.

What made my day is the combo. Most Oktoberfests outside Germany are sausages, pretzels and a costume rental. This one looked at a wholesale market full of fresh food and said, we already have the menu. Cold lager with fresh seafood sounds better to me than half of what I picture in Munich, and I say that as someone who has never been to Munich. Part of the money goes to charity too, so the third beer is technically a donation. If I were in Seoul that weekend I'd go hungry and leave slowly. This is like Liverpool winning the treble, if the treble was beer, shellfish and a rooftop.
