Seol In Ah goes undercover as a man to investigate Yim Si Wan

Seol In Ah plays a former special forces officer turned detective who disguises herself as a man to become the personal secretary of a chaebol heir who's a murder suspect. The heir is Yim Si Wan. That's the pitch of tvN's Love in Disguise and I'm already crying.

The trailer opens with him standing in front of an unconscious woman in a cabinet, not how I expected a romance to start. Then she gets the job, walks in on him changing and asks if even between men there isn't a certain etiquette. I laughed so hard. By the end he's the suspicious one, confronting her with "Who are you? Who sent you?"

My bet: he's not the killer, someone else in that house is, and he figures out she's a woman long before she realizes he knows. It premieres October 19 at 8:50pm KST and I will be emotionally destroyed by episode 4.

the HR joke is good but the real red flag is hiring a secretary with zero reference check. I'm crying, chaebol hiring practices strike again

Counter bet: he suspects early and lets her keep going because it's more fun for him. 'Who sent you' reads like suspicion, not a guy who's already in on it.

the 'is there etiquette between men' line is the whole show for me. he's going to be confused for as many episodes as they can stretch it

the suits in the disguise scenes better be tailored properly, half of these drama disguises are just a big blazer and a prayer

Small context: women disguised as men (남장, namjang) was a huge drama trope back with Coffee Prince and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Very old-school setup, the murder suspect part is the new twist.

he knows from day one. calling it now. (not a spoiler, I just have zero faith in drama disguises)

Or he never figures it out and she has to tell him herself. That would be the braver ending honestly.

*screams* so it's Coffee Prince energy with a murder case attached, I'm in. 남장 is going straight on my vocab list

chaebol heir stands near an unconscious woman in the trailer and still hires a new secretary. HR must have been on holiday
