🔥Yuk Jun-seo went full detective mode and people can't agree if it was rude

6hazel_n_honeyAm2026.10.08 07:17👁 2620💬 24♥ 61

In the new Disney+ survival show 술래게임, there's a cops and robbers round where Yuk Jun-seo plays the detective and Malwang is the culprit. Malwang is 8 years older, they'd just met, and Yuk talks to him in 반말 (casual speech) and throws in a swear like he's arresting a real criminal.

Korean viewers are split between rude to an older guy on day one and just committing to the game. I laughed, then felt bad for laughing.

Yeah the 8 years is the whole thing. Same detective voice with 존댓말 and nobody would've blinked. The swearing at a stranger on day one is what makes Korean viewers wince-laugh

the intensity is the whole brand at this point lol

ok fair, maybe he apologized off camera and they cut it. Still doesn't make swearing at a stranger any less funny to me, m crying

7Haneul2026.10.08

honestly the viewers look angrier than the guy who got arrested 😂 he seemed totally fine in the clip

Need this with subs asap

For context, banmal to someone 8 years older on the first day is a big deal in Korea even as a joke. That's why it blew up

It's a survival show, he was in character. Malwang can handle it

Both can be true. In character, and the older guy still gets to be annoyed

"He was in character" only goes so far when the guy was a stranger an hour earlier. Even Physical 100 has a bow somewhere

↳
5Matías2026.10.08

in-character is a fair defense, but the ref still shows a card when you swear at someone you met an hour ago. even in a game

5jjk_enjoyer2026.10.08

Physical 100 people never do anything at 50%. I don't know what anyone expected

it's Disney+ so subs shouldn't take long, hopefully. I want the 반말 round with captions

Arrested a man for being born earlier. Strictest cop in Seoul

arrested for being born earlier 😭 the charge sheet is just a birth year

8Taeho2026.10.08

Calling it character work is a stretch for me. A bit like that only lands if the other guy is in on it, and the clip doesn't tell us. The edit decides how rude it looks.

I laughed, then rewatched to check Malwang's face. He seemed fine but I'd have bowed to the camera crew just in case. I bow to vending machines.

5tteok_and_roll2026.10.08

Malwang got arrested and told he's old in the same scene. Double charge

4Hiro_K2026.10.08

Japanese keigo has the same landmine, but Korea checks your birth year before it checks your rank.

Korea has a whole second show running called the comment section, and it always gets angrier than the cast

4Sølvi2026.10.08

wait, did Malwang know he'd be the culprit before they filmed? that changes whether it's rude or just a bit

5Bea2026.10.08

I'd bow to the detective too. 죄송합니다 (I'm sorry), 뭘 했는지는 모르겠지만 (I don't know what I did). Guilty by default.
