What a Boss Wants: a chaebol searching for a voice, and Oh Se-young lying to her family about having a job

5jjk_enjoyerAm2026.10.07 12:05👁 1181💬 24♥ 42

Another chaebol romance, but I'll admit this one got me. Sung Hoon plays Kwon Do-hyuk, a chaebol boss described as having "zero sense of taste," who sets out to find the woman whose voice he heard on an album.

Oh Se-young is Lee Eun-chae, a job seeker who tells her family she already landed a job, while secretly singing as "Soo" in an indie band called India Red. Then she somehow ends up working at his company, Oh Yes Entertainment.

The red dress on stage vs the employee ID badge stills are basically the whole show in two pictures. Magical girl transformation energy, except it goes from tired job seeker to rock vocalist. It's based on a web novel and premieres November 11 at 10:20pm KST. A rich man finding a girl by her voice is the plot of half the shoujo manga I read at 14, and I'm still going to watch it.

The company is called Oh Yes Entertainment. I love it already

haven't seen an episode count anywhere yet

Finding someone by their voice is old, Cinderella with a microphone. What matters is whether the band scenes look like real gigs or like music videos

6Dohyun2026.10.07

A band called India Red. Hope they hired real musicians for the tracks, that decides everything

Sung Hoon as a cold chaebol is very correct casting

8Dabin2026.10.07

lying to your family that you got a job while secretly singing in a band is the most relatable plot ever lol

if the lip sync is bad I'm out by episode 2, I mean it

Real musicians or not, the OST decides it for me. A voice-hunting drama with a weak song is just a show about a bad hobby

That red dress on stage is gorgeous. Such a jump from the office cardigan look

Oh Yes Entertainment sounds like a place I'd fail an interview at *grabs popcorn*

Oh Yes Entertainment sounds like a name the CEO picked in 30 seconds 😂

All I care about is what the Oh Yes Entertainment canteen looks like. Chaebol cafeterias are the real plot

5Sanne2026.10.07

is it 16 episodes or longer?

Chaebol falls for a voice, job seeker lies to her family. I've seen this three times this year. But fine, give me the red dress

↳
7Junseo2026.10.07

three times this year sounds conservative. the real question is whether this one has anything besides the red dress

↳

Seen it three times and liked it each time. Both can be true: it's a trope, and it works

I'm already crying at the lying-to-family part. I said 'between jobs' for a year and my mom had it figured out in a week

↳

'Between jobs' for a year is a classic. My mom would've asked for an update by day three

Finding someone by voice is the through ball that always works. Lip sync is the VAR, if it's off the whole thing gets reviewed

5Kasia2026.10.08

Chaebol boss with 'zero sense of taste' is going to spend the whole show choosing between two suits that are the same suit

5Elena.v2026.10.08

The lying-to-family-about-a-job part wins me over faster than the chaebol. Not sure the chaebol needs another show though

5Matías2026.10.08

Chaebol with zero sense of taste, a singer who lies to her family. At least everyone in this show is bad at something
