🔥Yoo Seung-ho says someone has to offer him a rom-com first, and Korean comments are yelling at producers
Bit of a plea from Yoo Seung-ho doing the rounds on Instiz today. Paraphrasing: for him to do a rom-com, one has to come to him. Someone has to give him the chance.
The comments turned into a petition. "Who doesn't cast Yoo Seung-ho." "With that face and that acting, how does nobody give him a rom-com." "Film ten of them right now." A few people pointed out he's done mostly genre shows and they suit him, and someone brought up Operation Proposal as proof he can already do it. My slightly unpopular bit: he's very good in the darker stuff, and there's probably a reason the scripts land there. One commenter said his face is handsome but also quite pretty, so pairing him with a female lead is tricky. Harsh, but I suspect that's what casting people actually think. I'd still watch it. Rom-com Yoo Seung-ho, or keep him in genre shows where he's clearly at home?
