Thirty-eight minutes. Miss the 5:38 on the Gyeongui–Jungang line and the next one comes at 6:16, on a line that's supposedly part of the Seoul subway. Korean students even made a nickname for it, 멸시가장자리악. Every part of the name gets flipped to its opposite: 경의 (respect) becomes 멸시 (contempt), 중앙 (center) becomes 가장자리 (edge), and 선 (good, same sound as "line") becomes 악 (evil). Other people just call it 경의재앙선, the Gyeongui disaster line. Respect to everyone who commutes on it every day. I would have moved by now.
