The low-rise sagging look, and why it doesn't work for me
The sagging trend that started last year has gone further this season. Several celebrities have been photographed with trousers low enough to show half of what's underneath, and Korean media are now openly calling it excessive.

I usually try to see what a stylist was going for. Here it's meant to be relaxed and a bit rebellious, the 90s hip-hop reference with designer underwear bands on display. The problem is proportion. When the waistband sits that low, the legs look shorter, the belt does nothing, and the eye goes straight to the underwear logo, which turns the whole outfit into an ad. On stage under lights it can read as a performance choice. On the street with a blazer it just looks unfinished. Korean comments were brutal, mostly "when is this trend going to end" and "just take the pants off at this point". I'm with them. If you like the slouchy feeling, a wide trouser that sits at the hip with a long top gives the same mood without the constant hitching.
