🔥JYP's audit fit, piece by piece

Park Jin-young went to the National Assembly on the 7th as a witness at the culture ministry audit, and what everyone remembers is not what he said but the top under his jacket.

From across the room it's a normal suit. Gray jacket with very thin vertical pinstripes, trousers in the same gray, no tie. This is the camouflage layer and it does its job. In a hall where nearly everyone wears dark suits, he still roughly matches the room's level of seriousness. Then you get closer and the top underneath is brown and see-through, with a high neck. Sheer, yes, but brown, covered up to the throat and tucked under a jacket, so what you mostly see is a warm shadow rather than skin. That's the trick, I think. The same top in black would read nightclub. Brown next to gray is like a cup of coffee left on a filing cabinet: a bit unexpected, not rude.

The other reason it works is that it is so obviously him. This is the man who wore a hot pink sheer halter neck with vinyl trousers at Waterbomb Seoul last July, went mesh again on the same stage this year, and showed up to a Blue House event in a see-through shirt back in 2003. Against that history, a sheer top under a pinstripe suit is him being extremely restrained. Practically business casual. Reactions in Korea were split, which is half the fun. Some said the Assembly is a conservative place and it looked a little awkward, others shrugged and said it's JYP, what did you expect. My takeaway as a gorpcore person: one loud piece, everything else quiet. I'm stealing the formula, though my loud piece will be a fleece. Consider it a see-through-ly thought out plan.

I can't believe I'm emotionally invested in a stranger's shirt from a National Assembly hearing. what a timeline

two rebellions, zero ties. I admire the efficiency

business transparent is the only dress code I'd fail. my audit would reveal a 2019 cardigan and one coffee stain

7Siwoo2026.10.09

dress code: business formal. JYP: business transparent

6kkt.882026.10.09

for context, a gray suit with no tie already counts as 'relaxed' in a lot of Korean offices. so this is two rebellions at once

5Jules2026.10.09

the brown is doing so much work here. same top in black and it's a completely different headline

wait, no tie is already a scandal? my whole office would be in handcuffs

6Lukas932026.10.09

is this really fashion or just a guy who knows every camera will be on his shirt instead of his answers

↳
7Sebin2026.10.09

both can be true. it's a calculated choice and it's still a well-built outfit

↳

Or the stylist did their job and he's wearing it fine. Not everything has to be a media strategy.

5jjk_enjoyer2026.10.09

he runs an entertainment company. knowing where the cameras are is the job description

6sarkasmus2026.10.09

Finally a witness at an audit who delivers some transparency.

↳
5aaaahelsinki2026.10.09

*screams* a witness delivering transparency, literally. and brown under gray is somehow the most restrained choice he could've made

5Matías2026.10.09

Gray pinstripe on top, brown mesh underneath. Classic defender move, everyone watches the ball while the real play happens off it.

↳
7Geonwoo2026.10.09

defender move is right. everyone's reviewing the shirt and nobody is replaying the answers

5Jules2026.10.09

honestly the high neck is what saves it. open collar plus sheer would've been a whole different headline

↳
6Zeynep2026.10.09

yes the high neck is the deal. sheer at the throat reads like a choice, sheer with an open collar reads like a costume

8Dabin2026.10.09

he wore the see through thing to an actual AUDIT lol that is sooo iconic i cant

7Siwoo2026.10.09

the shirt got more airtime than the questions. best supporting actor goes to a brown mesh

↳
5Tenzin2026.10.09

Imagining the audit transcript: 'The witness wore pinstripes.' History will remember the shirt.

6Zeynep2026.10.09

pinstripe plus warm brown is a good pairing even without the sheer part. cool suit, warm layer. I'd steal that for a regular office day, minus the see-through

5Mads2026.10.09

the shirt scored in the fifth minute and the rest of the audit played for a draw

7Dahye2026.10.09

a room full of dark suits and one warm brown layer. whoever styled this knew the headline would be the shirt, and I'm three tabs deep into the shirt, so it worked

sheer brown under a gray pinstripe jacket is a good color combo, I'll give him that. wearing it to an audit is the chaotic part
