Cloud9 are the first team out of Worlds 2026

7MinjaeAm2026.10.18 15:06👁 789💬 22♥ 40

Worlds just started and Cloud9 are already going home. FURIA beat them 3-1 in the Play-In lower bracket in LA, and C9 became the first team eliminated.

The weird part is they won game 1 clean, with Baron and Elder. Game 2 Thanatos got two solo kills on K'Sante, and then Blaber's Lee Sin went for a Q-Q into the middle of FURIA at 31 minutes with gold dead even and never came back. After that FURIA just scaled and ran them over, FURIA built an 8k+ gold lead in game 4 and closed it 16-7 in kills. I don't follow LCS that closely, but two Korean players on the roster and still out first is going to be a long flight home.

won game 1 with baron and elder and still went home. that's the cruelest way to lose, you get to feel good for 25 minutes

FURIA punishing it three games in a row is the part C9 fans will skip over

Win game 1 with baron and elder, lose three. The Worlds trailer should have just been that 🥹

Lee Sin Q-Q at even gold: the Worlds 'let me try something' special.

7Lumi_Haze2026.10.18

'Let me see what happens' should be on the jersey. C9, 2026.

NA at Worlds speedrun any%. new record

FURIA honestly deserve more credit, they adjusted hard after game 1

7Geonwoo2026.10.18

up 1-0 with baron and elder, then lose three straight. that's not a draft problem, that's a skill issue

7Lumi_Haze2026.10.18

the Lee Sin Q-Q at 31 min with even gold... I felt that in my soul

↳
7Matcha_Mango2026.10.18

skill issue is harsh. a Q-Q into five people at even gold is more 'I wanted to see what happens'

7cloudberry2026.10.18

'skill issue' is what you say after your own ranked loss at 2am. a pro Q-Q at even gold is a coin flip that landed wrong.

c9 going home first is NOT the Worlds opening anyone asked for. someone check on whoever queued that Lee Sin Q-Q

7snowpea2026.10.18

Win game 1 with Baron and Elder, lose three. I do that in ranked every Tuesday, I just don't fly to LA for it.

7Lumi_Haze2026.10.18

ranked at least charges you in LP. this one charges you a long flight home

6dumpling.exe2026.10.18

c9 spent the whole series proving that a lead is just a suggestion

8Taeho2026.10.18

winning game 1 with baron and elder just means their elimination video gets a really good intro

7Junseo2026.10.18

3-1 means they had three games to fix whatever went wrong after game 1 and didn't. that's the part that stings, not the Lee Sin Q-Q

↳
7Lumi_Haze2026.10.19

three games to fix it is generous. i've been trying to fix the same mistake in my own ranked for three seasons

7marigold.mp32026.10.19

play-ins are brutal. you fly in as a Worlds team and leave as a trivia answer: first team eliminated, 2026

7orbit_kid2026.10.19

win game 1 with baron and elder, then lose three. that's the 'we're ahead of roadmap' slide right before the layoffs
