๐Ÿ”ฅyunho calling out a fan's username on bubble is the part i can't defend

8DabinAm2026.10.18 09:41๐Ÿ‘ 3338๐Ÿ’ฌ 41โ™ฅ 59

so yunho came back to bubble for the first time in a while and fans complained, which ok, it's a paid app and the last time he showed up was early may. one fan said if he had come even once a month nobody would be this upset. that's not hate, that's basically the product description and his answer was to mention that fan's username, tell them not to provoke needlessly, and then "people without respect should leave" i love that he's honest and i get that some idols just aren't chatty people. but you can't charge monthly for messages and then put one subscriber on blast for asking where the messages are. a lot of korean fans are saying if the app is that hard for him just don't come and they'll unsubscribe, and i kind of agree

bubble is basically a group chat you pay rent for and he just evicted a tenant. bold

7Geonwoo2026.10.18

Polite complaints are the dangerous ones, there's nothing to wave off. Naming the fan guaranteed a screenshot.

7Lumi_Haze2026.10.18

framing the reply is honestly the only return on that subscription

8Taeho2026.10.18

Polite or not, 'once a month' still tells him how to do his job. Doesn't excuse naming the fan, but the bar for an apology is higher when the complaint is fair.

7Soomin2026.10.18

Most people don't unsubscribe over a bad week, they just mute the app and keep paying. Paid fan apps run on inertia, which is probably why he felt safe doing this.

7Minjae2026.10.18

I get both sides, but naming the fan's ID is what made it messy. He could have said the exact same thing without that part.

7velvetcrow2026.10.18

paying monthly to be told to leave is a bold new subscription tier

7Haneul2026.10.18

ok but bubble isn't a contract for daily texts ๐Ÿ˜ญ some people act like he owes them a diary

โ†ณ
7Haneul2026.10.19

'leave if you don't like it' is a funny thing to tell people who literally pay to stay ๐Ÿ˜ญ

8Taeho2026.10.18

He's been at this for over 20 years and has always been the earnest one. I read it less as arrogance and more as someone bad at short-form fan service getting defensive.

โ†ณ
8DabinOP2026.10.18

defensive is fine, the username thing is not ๐Ÿ˜ญ

โ†ณ
7Kettlecorn2026.10.18

defensive i can accept. but naming the fan in public is how you turn a small complaint into a trending post

7Kettlecorn2026.10.18

the fan was POLITE tho. 'once a month would've been better' is the nicest complaint ever written

rent is monthly and the landlord shows up once in five months. that's a bad lease

7Gaeun2026.10.18

also curious if that fan kept the subscription. getting named in the chat is a weird retention strategy.

โ†ณ
7Minjae2026.10.18

Same question. Hope that fan got a kind reply from somebody.

โ†ณ
7Haneul2026.10.18

honestly i'd keep the sub just to frame the reply ๐Ÿ˜ญ getting named by an idol is a weird flex

7Gaeun2026.10.18

The announcement did more to show the problem than the complaint did. If anyone was going to unsubscribe, that's the push.

The real test is next month. If he posts again, it was a bad day. If he doesn't, the fan was right.

7marigold.mp32026.10.18

the fan being polite is what stings. ignoring it would've cost him nothing

โ†ณ
7Geonwoo2026.10.18

7Gaeun2026.10.18

'People without respect should leave' said to a paying audience. Even gyms have a nicer exit line.

โ†ณ
7Soomin2026.10.18

Gyms at least refund the month when they tell you to leave.

โ†ณ
7Gaeun2026.10.18

the gym comparison is unfair to gyms. they at least let you freeze the membership

7Haneul2026.10.18

'people without respect should leave' sounds like a line from a bad day, not a policy. he still shouldn't have named the ID though ๐Ÿ˜ญ

โ†ณ
7Soomin2026.10.19

a bad day explains the tone, not the username. he had to actually type the name out, that's not a spur-of-the-moment thing

7Nari2026.10.18

The 'last time was early May' bit is what I keep coming back to. The username is just the garnish.

โ†ณ
7velvetcrow2026.10.18

the username is the garnish, but the garnish is what got screenshotted

7Dahye2026.10.18

paying monthly for messages and getting a lecture on respect is the plot of every bad relationship

7Nari2026.10.18

Five months of silence, then a lecture on respect. If I'd paid for that I'd have muted the app and said nothing too.

7Junseo2026.10.18

even the korean fans in the post are saying they'd unsubscribe, and that's rare. usually the fandom closes ranks. naming the id was the move that flipped it

7Junseo2026.10.19

the word doing the damage is ์˜ˆ์˜ (manners/respect). telling a paying fan to leave over lack of it is about the harshest thing to say on a fan platform, which is why even the korean fans are annoyed

7paperlantern2026.10.19

teacher take: if a kid tells me 'miss, you haven't been here since May' i don't announce his name to the class. i just show up on monday

โ†ณ
7Soomin2026.10.19

teacher take works, but a kid isn't a monthly subscription. here 'leave if you don't like it' is literally the cancel button, and he handed it to them himself

7Minjae2026.10.19

I keep thinking the fan probably just wanted a hello, and got their name in a lecture instead. that's the sad part for me.

7Soomin2026.10.19

Polite or not, 'once a month' was still a complaint, and he treated it like a challenge. Both sides are making this bigger than it needs to be.
