🔥aespa Winter's leg pose that broke Japanese Twitter

7GeonwooAm2026.10.17 13:42👁 4190💬 48♥ 65

aespa did Vogue's Never Have I Ever and everyone skipped the answers to look at how Winter was sitting.

She crosses one leg, then hooks that foot back behind her other calf, so it looks like she crossed them twice. A post about it in Japan passed 1.6 million views and people are trying it at home. Her listed height is around 164 cm, so it's not even a tall person thing. Tried it at my desk. Not recommended.

'Do you need an ambulance' is the most honest review a spouse can give.

7Gaeun2026.10.17

Flexibility, and camera angle too. The second foot hides behind the calf so the pose looks longer in frame than it is.

6dumpling.exe2026.10.17

four seconds is generous, mine lasted until the first calf cramp

7hanriver.walk2026.10.17

I tried copying it on the sofa to see what the fuss was. My wife asked if I needed an ambulance.

7velvetcrow2026.10.18

getting out is the real stunt. i assume there was someone off-camera with a crowbar and a towel

8Dabin2026.10.17

OMG WAIT i just tried it on my bed and my ankle said no 😭

7Haneul2026.10.17

ankle said no 😭✨ 그래도 사진 한 장 찍어서 올려주길 바람

6dumpling.exe2026.10.17

my knees cracked just reading the description

↳
7Minjae2026.10.17

나도 읽다가 무릎 꺾임ㅋㅋ 글쓴이가 책상에서 해봤다는 게 제일 웃김

↳
7velvetcrow2026.10.17

knees cracking from the description alone is an accurate review of the pose. 10/10 would not attempt

7Lumi_Haze2026.10.17

pretty sure it's more of a flexibility thing than a leg length thing, my dancer friend sits like a pretzel too

↳
7GeonwooOP2026.10.17

great, so it's a skill issue. even worse

↳

6Oatmilk_Otto2026.10.17

flexibility yes, but also nobody on this site is going to sit like that for more than 4 seconds

7Junseo2026.10.17

일본 트위터에서 이런 포즈 밈은 하루 이틀 가는 게 아니라 며칠씩 따라하기 챌린지로 번짐. 윈터는 앉는 자세 하나로 이슈 만드는 타입이라 더 그렇고

↳
7orbit_kid2026.10.17

so it's a challenge in Japan now. somebody pulls a hamstring on camera and the trend is over by Friday

7Gaeun2026.10.17

7Soomin2026.10.17

If the pose got 1.6 million views in Japan, the Vogue answers got skipped, which can't be great for whoever wrote the questions.

7marigold.mp32026.10.17

1.6 million views for sitting. the interview answers were probably good too and nobody will ever know

↳
6soju_sundays2026.10.17

1.6 million views for sitting and the questions were probably the actual content. sad for the intern who wrote them

7Gaeun2026.10.17

I tried it for ten seconds and looked like a folded deckchair. She sits like that and still looks like a magazine shoot.

↳
7Nari2026.10.17

Folded deckchair is generous. Mine came out as a dropped umbrella.

8Taeho2026.10.17

Skipping the interview answers is the real compliment to the shoot. The pose did what an interview couldn't, which is be rewatchable.

7hanriver.walk2026.10.17

↳
7Nari2026.10.17

Ambulance would have been faster than the explanation I'd have to give my flatmate

7Minjae2026.10.17

Honestly impressed. She sits like it's the most normal thing in the world, which is the whole reason it works.

7Junseo2026.10.17

japanese twitter turning a sitting position into a week-long challenge is such a reliable cycle. next someone's grandma does it better than winter

↳
7Haneul2026.10.18

grandma beating Winter at it is the version of this trend I'd pay to watch 😭

7Nari2026.10.17

Tried it on the couch during an ad break. Nothing tore, but the ad break ended before I got my foot back.

↳
8Dabin2026.10.18

'the ad break ended before I got my foot back' is the best sentence in this thread 😭

7quietkimchi2026.10.17

she kept answering the questions while sitting like that. that's the part I can't get over

↳
8Taeho2026.10.18

What gets me is that she kept answering while holding it. Most of us would have been thinking about our hips by question two.

7Dahye2026.10.17

Meanwhile I can't sit cross-legged through one drama episode without my knee filing a complaint 😅

7orbit_kid2026.10.18

first kpop trend I can fail at from my chair. low barrier, high chance of injury

↳
7Minjae2026.10.18

Starting small is the right way. Ankle first, then maybe the hips, then Winter. I'd stop at the ankle.

7Nari2026.10.18

Tried the pose for ten seconds. My ankle has opinions. Winter, whatever you're doing, you've earned it.

7Nari2026.10.18

Nobody asked how she got out of the pose. That's the real stunt.

↳
7velvetcrow2026.10.18

7Minjae2026.10.18

The desk test is the funniest part of the post. Brave of OP to report back honestly.

7Gaeun2026.10.18

Try it on the floor first. A lower seat makes the hook a lot easier than a chair.

8Dabin2026.10.18

update: i got my foot back. dignity still missing 😭

7Dahye2026.10.18

She probably sat like that so long her leg fell asleep and nobody told her 😅

8Taeho2026.10.18

Funny how the whole thread agrees the pose looks painful and still wants to test it. That's probably why it spread, people need to check with their own ankle.

6soju_sundays2026.10.18

nobody's asking who has to sit like this for a whole Vogue shoot and keep smiling. my back hurts just reading
