📌 What is KOMMU.LIVE? — about us, ♥ Like, 🤔 Hmm, points, levels & Best

Welcome to KOMMU.LIVE 👋 KOMMU.LIVE is a Korean-style community for people around the world who are curious about Korea: its music, dramas, fashion, food and everything around them. It's a place to share your thoughts, swap information and enjoy it all together with people on the same wavelength. K-Style community, with people who get it. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏠 WHAT THIS PLACE IS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Whatever part of Korean culture you're into, you'll find people here who are into it too. Talk about the comeback you can't stop replaying, argue about that drama finale, trade styling tips and K-beauty finds, share a dish you finally got right, or post the news, jokes and memes you came across today. Some days it's information, some days it's pure fun, and most days it's both. We'd love for KOMMU.LIVE to become the place you open without thinking, the way people do with their favorite community back in Korea. • People with shared interests, a relaxed vibe. You don't need to be a superfan, and nobody is going to quiz you on discographies. Whether you follow one group closely or dip into a bit of everything, curious and good-humored is plenty. • Not a social feed. No follower counts, no influencer game. Everyone shares the same boards, the best posts rise because people liked them, and the same faces start to feel familiar. • Lurking is totally fine. You can read everything without logging in. Writing, reacting and messaging need a free account (14+). • Korean community culture, made friendly. Best boards, levels and quick reactions are classic parts of Korean communities. We kept the fun parts and explain them below so nobody feels lost. • Disagreement is fine, nastiness is not. See the Community rules notice. Boards: K-Pop · K-Drama & Movies · K-Food · K-Fashion & Beauty · Games · Humor & Memes · Korea Now · Free Talk. Each board has sub-tabs, and every board's Best posts also show up in the site-wide Best. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♥ LIKE and 🤔 HMM ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Every post and comment has ♥ Like and 🤔 Hmm. You can pick one of them (not both). • Tap the same button again to take it back. Tap the other one to switch. • You can't vote on your own posts or comments. ♥ Like says "good one". It's how great posts and comments get noticed, and it gives the author points. 🤔 Hmm means "not convinced" or "not for me". It's for content, not for people. If you disagree, a reply is usually better than a Hmm 🙂 Hmm has a few limits so it stays fair: • Unlocks at Lv.3 (100P). Likes are open to everyone from day one. • Max 10 Hmms per 24 hours, and 60 seconds between two Hmms. • Max 3 Hmms on the same member per 24 hours. • You can't Hmm a direct reply to your own post or comment (reply instead). • Giving a Hmm costs you 1P (you get it back if you take the Hmm back). • Only the author (and admins) can see how many Hmms something got. Everyone sees Likes. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⭐ POINTS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Write a post: +2 • Write a comment: +1 • Your post gets a Like: +10 • Your comment gets a Like: +3 • Your post makes it to 🔥 Best: +50 (one time per post) • Your comment becomes a BEST comment: +10 (one time per comment) • Your post gets a Hmm: −3 • Your comment gets a Hmm: −1 • You give a Hmm: −1 Points never go below 0. Posts or comments removed for breaking the rules may lose the points they earned. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎤 LEVELS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Lv.1 Newbie 0 · Lv.2 Trainee 30 · Lv.3 Rookie 100 · Lv.4 Idol 400 · Lv.5 Star 1,500 Lv.6 Superstar 5,000 · Lv.7 Icon 15,000 · Lv.8 Legend 50,000 · Lv.9 Hall of Fame 200,000 · Lv.10 GOAT 1,000,000 The first few levels come quickly. After Rookie it gets harder and harder, and each step asks for a lot more than the last. Reaching GOAT will take years of being loved by the community, and it may never happen. That's the point 😄 Your level chip shows next to your name, and your level character grows as you climb (see it in the sidebar and in My Info → All levels). Check your progress in My Info. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔥 BEST ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • A post goes to Best when enough people Like it (Likes minus Hmms), as long as Hmms stay under 30% of Likes. You get a +50P bonus the first time your post makes it. • If Hmms reach 30% of Likes, the post leaves Best and gets a 🌶 Hot debate tag instead. Hot debates are totally fine, they're just not "everyone loved this" posts. • BEST comments: up to 3 comments with Likes minus Hmms of 3 or more (and Hmms under 30%) are shown on top, and each of those comments earns its author +10P (one time per comment). Tap BEST to switch between "Best on top" and "in order". • Comments with lots of Hmms (5+ and more Hmms than Likes) are folded. Tap to read them. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔔 NOTIFICATIONS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The bell at the top tells you when someone replies to your comment, comments on your post, Likes your post or comment (at milestones), when your post hits Best, when you get a message, and when you level up. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💬 OTHER THINGS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Comments are up to 200 characters. Want to say more? Make a post! • Messages: send private messages to any member from their profile or Messages. • Something breaks the rules? Use the Report button on the post or comment. • Questions, bugs, anything else: My Info → 📮 Contact the admin. Only the admin sees it. Numbers may change while we fine-tune things. We'll always post a notice when they do. Have fun 💙
