Only a voice cameo but this is still the best casting news the Street Fighter movie had. Korea gets it two days before the US too.

Jason Momoa as Blanka and Roman Reigns as Akuma and the Korean marketing just goes 'anyway, Ma Dong-seok'. Correct choice.

maybe in the sequel.

he recorded it in one take and the booth is still shaking

he says go see which of his students learned better. sir you are one punch, there are no students left

Newbie question: Gouken is the old master who trained Ryu, right? Ma Dong-seok as the teacher who could still win the fight is perfect casting.

voice only feels like a waste. I wanted to see him palm someone's face through a car.

opening here two days before the US is a nice touch. half the theater will be there for him and not ryu

↳

Half the theater being there for him is how you know the casting worked. The other half will ask who Gouken is.

yep, Ryu's and Ken's. dad energy with a fireball license.

yes!! Ryu's and Ken's teacher. basically the dad who never says he's proud of them lol

voice only is fine if the voice is right. you can picture the palm strike from the first line.

his voice alone doing the 'you're not ready yet' scene is enough for me
