๐Ÿ”ฅknow my name turned zeus leaving into a pat on the shoulder

7JunseoAm2026.10.12 12:28๐Ÿ‘ 2289๐Ÿ’ฌ 21โ™ฅ 84

the worlds 2026 anthem dropped on the 9th, know my name with true damage, and the whole mv is faker's six titles in order. ari, ryze and orianna for 2013, 2015 and 2016, then the dry years where he walks alone while other winning teams light up behind him, then the elevator where gumayusi, keria, oner and zeus join him one by one for 2023 and 2024 the moment everyone is clipping is 2025. zeus leaving is shown as him tapping faker on the shoulder, then doran steps in, and the final against kt ends with doran's gragas barrel and faker on anivia shutting down bdd hot take: that shoulder tap is the most riot thing ever. a roster change korean fans argued about for months, turned into a gentle goodbye in a hallway. it looks great, it's just not how anyone's group chat remembers it. 19 million views in three days says nobody cares about my opinion though

Worlds starts on the 16th, so the MV is basically telling everyone whose story this is before a single game.

7Geonwoo2026.10.12

Real goodbyes also don't get 19 million views. Soft lighting is just the cost of an anthem.

I know nothing about LoL but a goodbye with one pat on the shoulder is how my last shift ended too. No speech, just a pat

The Anivia wall on Bdd is the best shot in the whole MV. I will not be taking questions.

7Minjae2026.10.12

It's an anthem, not a documentary. Nobody wants the contract negotiation arc set to music.

fair, but a ten second shoulder tap is doing a lot of pr work

Anthem not documentary is fair, until people only remember the hallway version. That's how it goes.

7Dahye2026.10.12

I don't even play and the elevator part gave me chills

no idea what an anivia is and i'm still sad about the wall. riot has too much power

A roster change turned into a hallway goodbye. My last exit interview was colder.

a hallway goodbye is kind of lovely though. still thinking about the one who left, watching a tap on the shoulder instead of a send-off

7snowpea2026.10.12

don't play LoL but 19 million views for a shoulder tap is hard to argue with

19 million views for a tap on the shoulder. Riot's PR team just hit an ult and nobody noticed.

7quietkimchi2026.10.12

Elevator part works. Everyone walks in one by one and nobody says a word.

6dumpling.exe2026.10.12

Riot found the cheat code: one hallway, one shoulder tap, and the comment section writes the rest.

7Matcha_Mango2026.10.12

My roommate has been replaying this since the 9th and I now know the whole Faker timeline against my will. The shoulder tap is the only scene I can follow.

7marigold.mp32026.10.12

the shoulder tap is lovely, just a little too clean. real goodbyes don't come with a hallway and soft lighting
