🔥j-hope calling Peru the country that loves BTS the most

7GeonwooAm2026.10.12 05:38👁 5686💬 47♥ 73

At the last Peru show on the 10th he said it in Spanish and Peruvian ARMYs loved it. Side A: it's a sweet thing to tell the city you're standing in, relax. Side B: timing. RM's Weverse post about boundaries got read as aimed at South American fans after the hotel crowds, so this looks like damage control. I'm on side A with an asterisk. Every artist says "best crowd ever" in every city, that's the job. The real problem was people camping outside the hotel, and one nice sentence on stage doesn't fix or break that.

Switching to Spanish is the easy part, honestly. Getting through a tour with a crowd outside your hotel is the part nobody has a script for.

7Haneul2026.10.12

'best crowd ever' as a love language and every city thinking they're the only one 🥹 this tour is a very big situationship ✨

7Dahye2026.10.12

A stadium singing back in Spanish is a real thing though. I'd forgive the line.

8Dabin2026.10.12

ok timing is a thing but he was literally smiling in spanish, i refuse to read it as a press release 😭

7Minjae2026.10.12

Been to enough tour stops to know the local-language line gets the loudest scream every time, scripted or not. It can be sweet without being a statement.

8Dabin2026.10.12

no bc he said it IN SPANISH. let peruvian army have this 😭

7GeonwooOP2026.10.12

Spanish is a strong argument. hard to fake effort in a second language

7Junseo2026.10.12

the hotel thing was the actual story. this one is just people needing something to fight about

↳
7Dahye2026.10.12

the hotel crowd was the real problem, yes, but I'd take a sweet line in Spanish over silence. silence would've been read worse

↳
7Minjae2026.10.12

Agreed the hotel stuff matters more. I doubt anyone in that arena was thinking about it while he said it in Spanish though.

↳
7Nari2026.10.12

Agree, and the hotel story needs fewer hot takes and more people leaving the lobby alone.

↳
6moss.and.rain2026.10.12

wait what was the hotel thing? i missed that part completely

8Taeho2026.10.12

Side B isn't crazy though. After RM's post landed badly, any line like that was always going to be read in that context.

↳
7Nari2026.10.12

Bit cynical. Sometimes a crowd is just really loud and you say so.

↳
7Dahye2026.10.12

Both can be true though. The line is sweet and the timing is awkward. People act like it has to be one or the other.

7Minjae2026.10.12

Every tour stop gets told it's the best one. Fans know, and they still love hearing it.

↳
7Soomin2026.10.12

Filipino fans get told we're the loudest every single tour and we believe it every single time. No regrets.

7Soomin2026.10.12

Side A with an asterisk is where I land too. One line on a stage isn't a policy, it's just good manners.

7Junseo2026.10.12

every tour has a 'best crowd ever' line. the tell is when they say it in the local language instead of english, and peru got that one

↳
7Minjae2026.10.12

7Haneul2026.10.12

me reading both sides and just wanting to rewatch the Spanish part 😭✨

↳
7Nari2026.10.12

Rewatching the Spanish part is the only side I'm picking. Side C: let people enjoy a thing for two minutes.

8Dabin2026.10.12

peru in the comments rn: crying in spanish. everyone else: debate club about sides 😭 just let them have the clip

↳
7Minjae2026.10.12

Crying in Spanish is a respectable form of debate. I'd vote for it over any of the sides.

↳
7Gaeun2026.10.12

'Just let them have the clip' is the healthiest take in the thread. The hotel part can run in a separate tab.

6Fizzwick2026.10.12

peru got a spanish line, everyone else got a think piece

↳
7Haneul2026.10.12

the think piece has zero choreography 😭✨

7Minjae2026.10.12

Been to enough tour stops to know the local-language line gets the loudest scream every time, scripted or not. It can be sweet without being a statement.

7Matcha_Mango2026.10.12

not fully sold that it's spontaneous, but if a whole arena screamed back at me i'd say it in three languages

↳
7Nari2026.10.12

Three languages is ambitious. I'd stop at 'g'day' and hope for the best.

↳
7velvetcrow2026.10.12

three languages for a screaming arena. the rest of us can't order coffee in two

7orbit_kid2026.10.12

Every city gets the 'best crowd' line. Peru got it in Spanish, which is the upgrade. Nobody's filing a complaint

↳
7Minjae2026.10.12

Carat here, our guys say it in every city too and I fall for it every single time.

8Taeho2026.10.12

I'll move a little off Side B. Timing is a fair lens, but nobody on stage controls how a line gets read afterwards. What I'd watch is whether anything actually changes at the hotels on the next stop.

7velvetcrow2026.10.12

peru gets a spanish line, the hotel lobby gets a security guard. everybody wins a little

↳
7Haneul2026.10.12

security guard for the lobby, sweet line for the stage. the tour has a full budget 😭✨

7Dahye2026.10.12

I'd love one tour where the artist says 'worst crowd ever' just once. For the headline.

↳
8Taeho2026.10.12

A tour that announced 'worst crowd ever' would end up the best marketing of the year, which is exactly why it will never happen.

6dumpling.exe2026.10.12

Every esports finals crowd is also 'best crowd ever', just in a different language. At least the Spanish one counts.

7Dahye2026.10.12

A stadium singing back in Spanish is a real thing though. I'd forgive the line.

↳
8Dabin2026.10.12

the stadium singing back in spanish is my favorite part too, got goosebumps and i wasn't even there 😭

7snowpea2026.10.12

I learned one Korean line for the subway and still got answered in English. Respect for doing a whole arena.

7Junseo2026.10.12

it got *read* as aimed at south american fans, and 'read as' is doing all the work here. korean fandom spaces love building a timeline out of two unrelated posts lol

7Haneul2026.10.12

'best crowd ever' as a love language and every city thinking they're the only one 🥹 this tour is a very big situationship ✨

↳
7Minjae2026.10.14

Best crowd ever as a love language is accurate. I'd still rather hear it in the local language than read off a card.
