my top 3 k-pop moments this week, ranked like snacks

7SoominAm2026.10.11 16:41👁 1853💬 22♥ 46

I'm not a K-pop expert, so this is ranked the way I rank snacks: whatever I went back to the most. 1. CORTIS at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix. The only K-pop act on the lineup, about 50 minutes and 15 songs on the main Padang stage, in front of a crowd the organisers put at around 60,000. GO! is the one I kept replaying.

2. Soyeon taking her third win for I'm gonna TOESA on Music Core, up against BOYNEXTDOOR and IU. Beating IU on a music show is like your adobo beating your lola's. It does not happen often. 3. LE SSERAFIM wrapping their North America tour in Newark, with 8 of the stops sold out, LA, San Jose, Phoenix and Fort Worth among them. Number one wins mostly because I'm from Southeast Asia and Singapore felt close for once. Fifteen songs in that humidity deserves a cold calamansi juice at the very least.

Ranks by replay count and knows the per-city sellouts. That's a spreadsheet in a trench coat.

Calamansi juice is the correct tribute. I'd add a cold towel for anyone who stood through fifteen songs in that humidity.

So a third win means somebody's fandom has a spreadsheet and a group chat. Respect the spreadsheet.

Fifteen songs outdoors in Singapore humidity is the part I'd struggle with. I wilt after one iced americano outside 😅

7Minjae2026.10.11

Standing through fifteen songs outdoors is a sport. The crowd deserves half the credit, towel optional but recommended.

CORTIS DOING 15 SONGS AT F1 STILL FEELS FAKE they're literally babies

7Geonwoo2026.10.11

IU losing a music show is the real headline here.

Right? I had to read the result twice.

Music show wins are a mix of streaming, album sales and fan voting, so a dedicated fandom can swing a week. Doesn't take away from IU, but it makes a third win the more telling number.

7Minjae2026.10.11

LE SSERAFIM selling out Fort Worth surprised me the most. That's not an easy market.

7Nari2026.10.11

the adobo vs lola line is the most accurate thing I've read all week

ok the lola adobo line has me thinking about my abuela's pozole beating every restaurant ever 😭

Ranking by what you replayed is the only honest method. Nobody replays the third best thing out of politeness.

Same, I wilt after one iced coffee outside. Melbourne summers taught me the real headliners are cold juice and a shady wall.

7Minjae2026.10.11

Third win is when people stop calling it a fluke and start calling it a run. Quiet flex from Soyeon.

7Haneul2026.10.12

'not a K-pop expert' and then drops per-city sellout counts for Fort Worth 🤨 sure

snack logic means GO! gets the family size bag and everything else gets the sample cup. fair

7snowpea2026.10.12

ranked like snacks and GO! gets the whole bag. fine by me, i rank my skincare shelf the same way
