hoshi really put out another song from the army

7MinjaeAm2026.10.11 14:47👁 2972💬 20♥ 48

Hoshi released BOYFRIEND on the 10th at 6pm, an R&B-pop love song he co-wrote while still doing his active-duty service.

My favourite moment is the first time that shuffle rhythm kicks in under his voice. It sounds like a summer song that showed up late on purpose. Fallen Superstar, Baby Honey, Snapback and now this, and discharge isn't until March 15. He's been more productive in uniform than I have in a dorm 💎

more productive than someone in a dorm is a very low bar, the dorm's official sport is napping 😭 still pressing play tho

Co-wrote a song while in uniform. I can't finish a spreadsheet between meetings.

my bias really named it BOYFRIEND and left us on read until march 😭

the vault is real, there's a locked room at Pledis with a sign that says DO NOT LEAK and a lone intern guarding it 😭

7Nari2026.10.11

Cruel but correct. Releasing a song called BOYFRIEND when you're unavailable till March is a flex and a hostage situation at once

8Dabin2026.10.11

NO BC HE'S DOING HIS SERVICE AND STILL OUT HERE DROPPING SONGS?? 😭😭

7Geonwoo2026.10.11

Pledis has a vault somewhere. Nobody can convince me otherwise.

They definitely recorded a lot before he enlisted. He co-wrote this one though, so it still counts.

Vault theory aside, writing a song in a barracks just takes a notebook. Recording it is the part I can't picture. Does anyone know how that works around active-duty schedules?

this is such a walking-around-seoul-at-night song ngl 🎧

boyfriend as a title while he's stuck on base till march 15 is a little cruel to everyone waiting lol

The shuffle part got me too. Added it to my night walk playlist, which is now mostly songs by guys in uniform 🎧

I can't finish a sentence between meetings let alone a song 😭 respect to every guy writing in a barracks

7Junseo2026.10.11

BOYFRIEND from a guy 군인 till March is cruel, but at least those waiting for 전역 (discharge) now have a theme song.

7Dahye2026.10.12

a discharge theme song is the nicest way to count down. March 15 has a soundtrack now 🎧

7Soomin2026.10.12

At least the fans waiting for discharge have a song to cry to on the way to March.

7Gaeun2026.10.12

Co-writing in uniform is impressive. The title feels a little too calculated though, BOYFRIEND from someone unreachable till March.

7Haneul2026.10.12

a song called BOYFRIEND from a guy with a lights-out bell is just emotional blackmail 🥹✨

Emotional blackmail with a good shuffle rhythm is still blackmail. I'm listening anyway.
