The actors staying in character while the kid sobs is honestly elite acting

Mangtae harabeoji is a bogeyman who carries a straw sack (mangtae) to take away children who misbehave. Every Korean grandparent used him.

As a nurse: it works until it doesn't. Fear gets the spoon in the mouth once, then you need a bigger bogeyman

Joseon jump scare to make a toddler finish rice works, sure. I'd just like to see the therapy bill in ten years.

Honest question for the parents who say it works: does it last a week, or until the next cartoon? I'm not convinced by one baby.

In the Philippines it was the aswang, and it worked right up until I got curious around eleven. Lasted way longer than a week though, I still avoid the mango tree at night.

One baby stops watching cartoons for a meal, fine. Wait until it figures out the actors go home at six.
