IVE's "Looks Can Kill" Girl Hero concept photos for An Yujin, Rei and Gaeul came out with hero names attached: Captain Purple, Jean Yellow and Wonder Green. Captain Purple, fine, that one is clearly purple, mask and gloves and all.

Then I went looking for the green. Pink shorts, lilac cape, white boots, pale blue gloves. The closest thing to green is the gloves if you squint at them in bad light.

A Korean commenter asked the same thing, "are those color names meaningless??", and I'm glad I'm not the only one. The styling is lovely though, the satin and the vinyl together look very 60s comic book, and the pigtails on the last set are my favourite thing in the whole teaser. Gaeul's posing is the strongest of the three for me, but I'm biased.

Poetic is generous. Korean ์ดˆ๋ก is green, and I'm fairly sure gloves in bad light aren't what the name had in mind. Someone lost the colour meeting.

Concept names often come first and the colour logic gets explained later in a clip or the MV. Still, pink shorts for Wonder Green is a bold reading of the brief.
