Bdd and PerfecT staying at KT until 2028

5LuciaAm2026.10.09 02:38👁 782💬 9♥ 23

I don't follow LoL at all, but the PerfecT contract poster with the little salute got me.

KT Rolster extended both Bdd and PerfecT through 2028. Bdd debuted back in 2015, went through Longzhu, Kingzone, Nongshim and Gen.G, came back to KT in 2023 and pretty much carried a struggling team all the way to Worlds runner-up last year. PerfecT was basically a newcomer then and grew into their reliable top laner next to him. This year they didn't even make Worlds, and they still locked both of them in for two more years. Loyalty like that is rarer than a seven-year idol contract renewal, m crying a little.

Apparently the real headache now is the bot lane, which had Ghost coming back plus trades this year. Not my problem, I'm just here for the salute photo.

KT fans have been saying "next year is our year" since before PC bangs had RGB keyboards

Locking the top side until 2028 and leaving the bot lane as a question mark is the most KT thing possible. Suffering is part of the brand.

KT missing Worlds and responding by keeping the two guys who weren't the problem. Most reasonable thing that org has done in a while.

'prepaid next year' is the best marketing line KT has had in a while. print it on the poster, under the salute

two more years of that salute poster 🫡 I'd renew just for the photo shoot honestly 😭

ok I didn't know any of this context and now I'm even more emotional about it

Bdd is the club legend who could've left for a bigger team five times and keeps coming home. Respect.

Two more years of 'next year'. Prepaid, at least.
