🔥ILLIT's encore seat map, one week out, and Korea can't agree on it

5tteok_and_rollAm2026.10.08 13:27👁 4494💬 36♥ 65

ILLIT's PRESS START ENCORE at Inspire Arena in Incheon is a week away, and the seat map has turned into a battleground.

One side sees a lot of empty blocks. Their take is that the fanbase is weak, the group isn't gaining new fans outside of Wonhee's, and going ahead like this is embarrassing. The other side says the venue is just really big, it's actually pretty full, and these posts come back every few days like clockwork. Meanwhile the limit went from one ticket per person to two, and cancelled tickets were put back on sale. I'm on side B, mostly. Judging a seat map a week out is like judging a restaurant at 5pm. The dinner rush hasn't walked in yet.

ok but when BTS added seats for the big shows nobody called it a crisis. why is it only a warning sign when it's a rookie group

3yay_congrats2026.10.08

congrats!! to whoever gets the empty block with all that legroom

4Thandi2026.10.08

adding seats after a sellout and raising the limit before one aren't the same thing though. that's the part the BTS comparison skips

5Tariq2026.10.08

this is like checking the Liverpool table in September. nothing is decided, everybody relax

5nunchi_zero2026.10.08

I once bought a ticket with four minutes left and my mom still brings it up. last-week buyers are my people, so the map is lying a bit

6ice_cold_takes2026.10.08

if you have to bump the limit to two per person, demand isn't what the label expected. that's just math

or people were waiting for the second release, which happens with almost every arena show

Raising the limit isn't proof of a flop either. It's like adding stands and saying the stadium is full. Could go either way, ask me after the whistle.

5tiny.tigress2026.10.08

the accounts posting this seat map daily are more dedicated than some actual fans

↳
6Yuki2026.10.08

me checking the seat map daily like it's my crush's story. nobody wins here, least of all my sleep

7Haeun2026.10.08

I'd love real numbers instead of seat map screenshots. colored blocks tell you nothing about how many seats are in each one

↳
5tteok_and_rollOP2026.10.08

agreed, a map isn't a sales report

↳
3quietpe2026.10.08

one real number would end this whole thread, which is exactly why we won't get one

↳
7Minjae2026.10.08

been to a lot of arena shows and the map always looks scarier than the room feels. a week out is when I'd stay quiet

6Hayoon2026.10.08

rookies get this every single time. let them have their encore in peace

5Jules2026.10.08

Judging a sold-out-or-not verdict from a seat map a week out is like judging an outfit from the hanger. Wait till people are actually wearing it.

↳
5Layla2026.10.08

the hanger analogy works better if the hanger isn't visibly half empty. but sure, wait for the dinner rush

6Omar2026.10.08

a seat map a week out is just a group chat of people who already decided what they believe

5lyric.thief2026.10.08

PRESS START ENCORE and half the arena is still on the loading screen. give the lobby a minute

5Freja2026.10.08

devil's advocate for side A: a label that's worried would push exactly like this, a second ticket per person and cancelled seats back on sale. both readings fit, which is why nobody shuts up

↳
6Lukas932026.10.08

so the map proves nothing for either side and it's still getting a thread every few days. impressive for a screenshot

5Aurelien2026.10.08

nobody calls a film a flop off Tuesday matinee seats. same logic, except here it's a week before opening night

5Noor2026.10.08

my own bank account's seat map is mostly empty blocks too and nobody has written a thread about it

3Fah2026.10.08

half-empty blocks sound scary until you remember half of us are waiting for payday

5snowyowl_2026.10.08

wait, isn't the last week when most people actually buy? I always grab mine at the deadline and then panic about the seats

↳
5Putri2026.10.08

same, I always buy late and then stare at the seat map like it owes me money. last week is where half the tickets go I think

6velvetrabbit2026.10.08

every group I've loved got this thread at some point. it's basically an initiation

3yay_congrats2026.10.08

congrats!! to whoever gets the empty block with all that legroom

4Eero2026.10.08

a week out and everyone's reading the map like a tea leaf. it's an arena, not a bakery, nothing goes stale before the show

5Bea2026.10.09

seat map week is a K-pop tradition like 컴백 (comeback) week, except the only thing performing is everyone's anxiety

6Seoa2026.10.09

The raised limit still nags me a little. Could be demand, could be a very large venue. I would look again two days before, not now.

5Ayşe2026.10.09

hope everyone going has a great time, the seat map won't be what they remember. I just want to know what the merch line looks like

6Jiyul2026.10.10

nobody posts the seat map on show night when it's full, so this thread only ever exists in the scary version
