🔥my top 3 from this week, ranked by how much they made me feel old

6velvetrabbitAm2026.10.08 10:15👁 6348💬 36♥ 105

3. NCT WISH putting up a love confession in front of SM. It reads like a real 고백 (confession) to 시즈니, the NCT fandom, ending with "will you be my girl?" and an address where he's waiting. It's a promo for their new song I SPY. Somebody at SM had fun with this one.

2. Hwang Minhyun's OUR. Mid-tempo, very minimal, about feelings staying the same while the seasons change. Perfect October song.

1. Onew and Zico doing Tic Tac Toe. A SHINee member and Zico on one R&B hip hop track that they both wrote, comparing the more-than-friends, less-than-lovers stage to a game. 2014 me would not have believed this.

The guys I grew up with keep putting out good music and I'm not complaining.

if it's on a streaming app the credits tab should say. I read those way more often than I'd admit

A fake love confession as a marketing stunt. Very sweet, and also very much a marketing stunt

5retro_ballad2026.10.08

nothing makes me feel older than a 2014 song being called a throwback. Onew on this list just confirms it

6Ingrid2026.10.08

That WISH confession ad is like a striker celebrating before the ball goes in. Bold. I respect it

5dadjoke_dk2026.10.08

sweet and a stunt. the candy-coated promo, as we say in the teaching trade

5retro_ballad2026.10.08

Onew and Zico on one track is the crossover my 2013 self would have fainted over

↳
6Tomas2026.10.08

three in a row for the 2014 crowd, and we're the ones who need to sit down afterwards

↳
6Jiyul2026.10.08

Onew's voice on a hip hop beat is the real time travel. Zico fitting in was never in doubt, Onew holding his own is the surprise

both can be true and I still giggled

OUR at number 2 is criminal, that song deserves gold

↳
6velvetrabbitOP2026.10.08

silver with love. the Onew collab just pressed the nostalgia button harder

4Linh2026.10.08

Does Zico rap on it or sing?

↳
7Junseo2026.10.08

post says they both wrote it, so probably a bit of each. the credits would tell you for sure

5nunchi_zero2026.10.08

a fake 고백 outside the building and I still got nervous for the guy. awkward people solidarity

↳
5Ana.Lu2026.10.08

same, I got secondhand embarrassed for a fake confession. 'will you be my girl' to a whole fandom is a big ask for a Tuesday

↳
6hanbyeol2026.10.08

The waiting-at-an-address part is peak 오글거려 (cringe-curl) to me, which I suspect is the point. Still worked, apparently.

↳
4softpeach442026.10.08

was there actually someone waiting at the address or was it staged? now I need to know how the story ended

8Taeho2026.10.08

Fake confession ads work because you feel in on the joke, but a promo is still a promo. The Onew and Zico one I'd actually press play on though. Nostalgia sells easier than any billboard.

↳
5Layla2026.10.08

A boy standing outside with an address and you call it a promo? Let WISH be romantic in peace, the marketing team has feelings too

3quietpe2026.10.08

putting a literal ad in the top 3 is a choice. the Onew one I'd actually play though

6busan_or_bust2026.10.08

adding OUR to my October-in-Seoul playlist before I've even booked the flights. planning to be sad in a nice way

6Jaehee2026.10.08

As a MOA I'm offended that 2014 now counts as old. I was doing fine until this post.

4Hiro_K2026.10.08

'Tic Tac Toe' as the metaphor for more-than-friends is such a Korean ballad-brain way to describe a situation. I like it more than I should

6ice_cold_takes2026.10.08

WISH waiting at an address is the most SM thing ever. creepy if it's a stranger, a love story if it's a boy band

↳
5sleepy_jpg2026.10.08

a boy waiting at an address is a love story until it's a Tuesday and you're in pajamas

↳
5mintchoco_hater2026.10.08

creepy or love story is just a casting decision. and SM's casting is never the problem

5retro_ballad2026.10.08

4Taras2026.10.08

'throwback' for 2014 and I felt my knees file a report

5Camila2026.10.08

Onew and Zico on one track means the 2014 crowd is officially a heritage fan club. We get a discount at the museum now.
